Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

LION International Ministries wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, use magnification, or need reduced motion. A church website that some people cannot read is not doing its job.

What we have built in

  • ■ Keyboard navigation. Every link, button, accordion, and form field can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and the focused element is always visibly outlined.
  • ■ Screen reader support. Pages use real heading structure, one main heading per page, labelled form fields, descriptive link text, and aria-expanded state on every expandable section.
  • ■ Readable text. Body copy never drops below 16px on mobile, line lengths are capped for readability, and text and background colors are chosen to meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast.
  • ■ Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, all animation, image rotation, and parallax on this site turn off automatically.
  • ■ Touch targets. Buttons and links are sized to be comfortably tappable on a phone.
  • ■ Alternative text. Meaningful images carry descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers so they do not add noise.

Standard we aim for

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We are a new ministry with a new website, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a box that gets ticked once.

Known limitations

Some parts of this site rely on third-party services, such as an embedded map and an online giving platform. We do not control how accessible those services are. If one of them is blocking you from something you need, tell us and we will help you another way, including in person on a Sunday.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of this website is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to hear about it. Send us a note through our Connect page and describe what you ran into and what you were trying to do. We will respond personally and work to fix it.

You are also always welcome to come to a gathering and ask us in person. We meet Sundays at 11:00 AM and Wednesdays at 7:00 PM at the Hampton Inn & Suites, 9850 Weddington Road Ext, Concord, NC 28027.
